If Eric Zgondea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iurie Erbașu's late challenge caught a Las-o-n tepșe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iurie Erbașu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC Dreain Timisoara getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Iurie Erbașu hit a great ball. Marian Tănăsescu kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes, Las-o-n tepșe's Dorin Dogaru shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victor Onișoru came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Las-o-n tepșe reached it. Traian Căliman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Ozan Koytan made a huge save. George Maiorescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Onișoru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Maiorescu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th minute Las-o-n tepșe were awarded a corner. Dorin Dogaru went to the cornerflag to take it. Las-o-n tepșe's Dorin Dogaru was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Victor Onișoru in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 20th minute, Eric Zgondea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ozan Koytan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irinel Zbârciog, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Las-o-n tepșe's goalkeeper Ozan Koytan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Leontin Liciu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ozan Koytan. The goal made the score 1-0. Victor Onișoru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Eniceicu in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Marian Tănăsescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36thth minute of the game Irinel Zbârciog who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Las-o-n tepșe's Ozan Koytan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Irinel Zbârciog was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With his leg Ozan Koytan managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when FC Dreain Timisoara's Leontin Liciu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Las-o-n tepșe's Ozan Koytan got control of the ball when Marian Tănăsescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eric Zgondea to strike the kick off in the second half. Ozan Koytan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irinel Zbârciog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Las-o-n tepșe's zone, Leontin Liciu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ozan Koytan came out of the goal and Leontin Liciu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ozan Koytan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leontin Liciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Irinel Zbârciog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ozan Koytan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Irinel Zbârciog ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ozan Koytan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Irinel Zbârciog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leontin Liciu got in the 92nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ozan Koytan handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by George Maiorescu in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Dreain Timisoara's Traian Căliman. If Irinel Zbârciog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
