Spectators: 7503 (Terracing: 5628, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Petruț Encescu kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Denis Alexandru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gigi Cozaru might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moise Costeiantu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gigi Cozaru ran back to his position shaking his head. 7 minutes into the match, Ferdinand Molodețiu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nittony Lions's Moise Costeiantu. Moise Costeiantu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Gigi Cozaru came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Sararestii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigi Cozaru couldn't finish the play. Moise Costeiantu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigi Cozaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A collision led to Nittony Lions getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Filip Condeescu hit a great ball. If Gigi Cozaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavian Cantemir might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Encica. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Octavian Cantemir ran back to his position shaking his head. Moise Costeiantu came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Sararestii's Denis Alexandru. But to his dismay, Denis Alexandru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Pavel Junilă hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Octavian Cantemir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcel Encica read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Sararestii were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denis Alexandru to strike the kick off in the second half. Petruț Encescu struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Marcel Encica didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nittony Lions. Nittony Lions's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ferdinand Molodețiu 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Eric Zdroană kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Marcel Encica came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Nittony Lions's Octavian Cantemir. But to his dismay, Octavian Cantemir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Filip Condeescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Marcel Encica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Denis Alexandru recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Moise Costeiantu. Denis Alexandru showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. 77 minutes into the game, Sararestii's Denis Alexandru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moise Costeiantu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gigi Cozaru got free with Moise Costeiantu in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Nittony Lions's zone, Denis Alexandru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moise Costeiantu came out of the goal and Denis Alexandru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filip Condeescu was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Nittony Lions's Filip Condeescu got a free kick in the 88th minute. Sararestii's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
