Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nittony Lions's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sorin Spânu was slow to take the kick. During this time Sasveres's players had a chance to rest. Isac Chițes might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moise Costeiantu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isac Chițes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 11th minute Isac Chițes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moise Costeiantu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moise Costeiantu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isac Chițes in the 23rd minute of the match. Eric Tincu came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Nittony Lions's Petruț Encescu. But to his dismay, Petruț Encescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 34 minutes into the game, Petruț Encescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Eric Tincu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Isac Chițes might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moise Costeiantu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isac Chițes ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Pitiș got free with Moise Costeiantu in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Nittony Lions were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isac Chițes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sasveres's Adam Pitiș got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Adam Pitiș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moise Costeiantu was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Pavel Junilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Chițes in the 60th minute of play forced Nittony Lions's goalkeeper Moise Costeiantu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isac Chițes in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moise Costeiantu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petruț Encescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moise Costeiantu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Pitiș in the 79th minute of play. If Adam Pitiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mugur Băsescu charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mugur Băsescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 82 played minutes Nittony Lions got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Băsescu. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Adam Pitiș managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sasveres's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Pitiș was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moise Costeiantu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the game, Sasveres's Isac Chițes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moise Costeiantu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isac Chițes in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moise Costeiantu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Isac Chițes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Isac Chițes made a precise shot to the right of Moise Costeiantu. Nittony Lions's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Adam Pitiș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moise Costeiantu having to interfere. Sasveres's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
