Spectators: 7577 (Terracing: 5685, Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 149) Barbosu FC's Sebastian Anisie started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Costică Costea came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Barbosu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costică Costea couldn't finish the play. Dumitru Văcărescu kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Fabian Damian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barbosu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Damian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Macovescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 28 played minutes Barbosu FC got a freekick which was hit by Octav Glodeanu. In the 34th minute, Daniel Capșuneanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Codrin Urdeş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Bărănescu in the 41st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Avram Trăiloiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barbosu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Avram Trăiloiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Macovescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dan Macovescu made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Adrian Horațiu sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Bărănescu made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Costică Costea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbosu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costică Costea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adrian Horațiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Macovescu having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Sebastian Anisie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbosu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Anisie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rafinăria Dărmănești's zone, Octav Glodeanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Macovescu came out of the goal and Octav Glodeanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Octav Glodeanu struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Dan Macovescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barbosu FC. In the 72nd minute Sebastian Anisie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Macovescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octav Glodeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mihai Beșleaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Dan Macovescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Sebastian Anisie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Barbosu FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Octav Glodeanu hit a great ball. Barbosu FC's Sebastian Anisie got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Costică Costea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
