Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dragoş Mihai to make the kick off. After some careless play in the SS Ionatan Timisoara defense, Nicu Doicaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radu Otopeanu. The SS Ionatan Timisoara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radu Otopeanu should have stopped the shot. After having played for 78 minutes, Leontin Urderean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
