Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dragoş Mihai started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Dragoş Mihai came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the FCS Gepis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dragoş Mihai couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paul Musta during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in FCS Gepis's zone, Ionel Reznic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manos Manteca came out of the goal and Ionel Reznic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FCS Gepis's Manos Manteca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save FCS Gepis from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Barnova getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Florin Tăgorean hit a great ball. Manos Manteca was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Ionel Reznic capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ionel Reznic really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Manos Manteca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Slătineanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Manos Manteca made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Ionel Reznic sent off a good shot on target. Ionel Reznic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manos Manteca having to interfere. Manos Manteca was a little too slow when Dumitru Slătineanu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dumitru Slătineanu to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Dumitru Slătineanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Manteca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Dragoş Mihai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCS Gepis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dragoş Mihai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manos Manteca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Slătineanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dumitru Slătineanu in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manos Manteca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Nicu Doicaru fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FCS Gepis's protests and gave Nicu Doicaru a yellow card for diving instead. Manos Manteca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Slătineanu in the 75th minute of play. Dragoş Mihai hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, one of FCS Gepis:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FCS Gepis. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Barnova. Gavril Pipirig stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Manos Manteca. 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionel Reznic in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manos Manteca saved FCS Gepis from getting behind. Manos Manteca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Slătineanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Ionel Reznic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Manteca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind FCS Gepis's goalkeeper Manos Manteca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ionel Reznic took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manos Manteca. Manos Manteca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Barnova were victorious despite being under pressure from FCS Gepis for much of the match.
