After a rather tough play, SS Ionatan Timisoara's Filip Carp got a free kick in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filip Dragota in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radu Otopeanu saved SS Ionatan Timisoara from getting behind. 13 minutes into the match, SS Ionatan Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Nicopol came free, but Radu Otopeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leontin Urderean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Radu Otopeanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcu Nicopol in the 20th minute. Filip Dragota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radu Otopeanu having to interfere. Iacob Macamete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Flavius Țepelea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcu Nicopol who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Radu Otopeanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iacob Macamete stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcu Nicopol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Radu Otopeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Iacob Macamete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcu Nicopol struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Radu Otopeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barsanesti. In the 61st minute Marcu Nicopol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Otopeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Udup sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcu Nicopol in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radu Otopeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute, SS Ionatan Timisoara's Iacob Macamete ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Flavius Țepelea. Flavius Țepelea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 83 minutes into the game, Marcu Nicopol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Radu Otopeanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Radu Otopeanu came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Barsanesti's Martin Udup. But to his dismay, Martin Udup quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Radu Otopeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcu Nicopol, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Barsanesti's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
