Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Edgar Cordescu came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Corsorul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Cordescu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vali Homeag in the 8th minute of play forced Corsorul's goalkeeper Augustin Sasu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Cordescu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 12th minute. Corsorul's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Corsorul's Ionică Homeag got a free kick in the 13th minute. Augustin Sasu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vali Homeag in the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 17 minutes, David Manea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verbia CS's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Manea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augustin Sasu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vali Homeag's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Ionică Homeag hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augustin Sasu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Manea in the 24th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Ovidiu Carp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corsorul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verbia CS the free kick. Ovidiu Carp kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Edgar Cordescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augustin Sasu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Homeag in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verbia CS's goalkeeper Ion Cârstea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paul Dedu took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ion Cârstea. Ion Cârstea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 47 minutes into the game, David Manea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Augustin Sasu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Martin Constantiniu hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Lucrețiu Melinte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustin Sasu having to interfere. David Manea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Augustin Sasu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augustin Sasu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vali Homeag in the 71st minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Vali Homeag cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Augustin Sasu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Paul Dedu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Dedu in the 81st minute of play forced Verbia CS's goalkeeper Ion Cârstea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Cordescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ion Cârstea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Dedu in the 85th minute of play forced Verbia CS's goalkeeper Ion Cârstea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ion Cârstea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Cordescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After 93 played minutes, Verbia CS's David Manea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Augustin Sasu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Verbia CS reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Manea got free with Augustin Sasu in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Edgar Cordescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corsorul's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Cordescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ion Cârstea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Verbia CS played a much better game than Corsorul and deserved their victory. The Corsorul players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
