The audience was convinced that Rareș Dulfu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doru Aanicăi was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Rareș Dulfu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Doru Aanicăi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doru Aanicăi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rareș Dulfu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. FC H2 GALATI's Albert Răuțu got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Doru Aanicăi made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Aron Orghidan sent off a good shot on target. Răzvan Bistreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rareș Dulfu made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC H2 GALATI's zone, Flavius Jucu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dumitru Nițoi came out of the goal and Flavius Jucu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stelian Alupulesei thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Dumitru Nițoi, a very annoying self made goal in the 63rd minute which led to 1-1. Flavius Jucu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dumitru Nițoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Ofsenita CSS's Flavius Jucu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dumitru Nițoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The supporters of Ofsenita CSS booed when FC H2 GALATI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iurie Şumălan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Răzvan Bistreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dumitru Nițoi having to interfere. Ofsenita CSS's Doru Aanicăi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iosif Homeag in the 83rd minute of play. FC H2 GALATI's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Răuțu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doru Aanicăi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ofsenita CSS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
