Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Gabriel Huștea made the kick off and thus started the match. Sorin Iliescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernest Hurezeanu having to make a save. If Sorin Iliescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cara FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Vintilă Şimonca hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sorin Iliescu in the 14th minute of play forced Cara FC's goalkeeper Ernest Hurezeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gelu Costescu came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Cara FC's Viorel Otețea. But to his dismay, Viorel Otețea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ernest Hurezeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valer Suciu in the 21st minute of play. Valer Suciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gabriel Huștea fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gelu Costescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Huștea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau's Radu Mușetescu got a free kick in the 30th minute. Sorin Iliescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ernest Hurezeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernest Hurezeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sorin Iliescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Valer Suciu made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sorin Iliescu got free with Ernest Hurezeanu in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Cara FC's zone, Valer Suciu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernest Hurezeanu came out of the goal and Valer Suciu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Cara FC defense, Valer Suciu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernest Hurezeanu. The Cara FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernest Hurezeanu should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sorin Iliescu got free with Ernest Hurezeanu in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Huștea in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gelu Costescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute of the match Mircea Iulian sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gelu Costescu skillfully saved the ball. After 90 minutes of play, Cara FC's Viorel Otețea made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gelu Costescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute, Viorel Otețea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gelu Costescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.
