An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Andrițoiu in the 7th minute of play forced Sporting FC's goalkeeper Cristinel Militaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costel Petriceanus short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Cristinel Militaru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 9 minutes, Nistor Andrițoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Draghia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nistor Andrițoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gigi Proca hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Sporting FC's Gigi Proca got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting FC's goalkeeper Cristinel Militaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes into the game, Nistor Andrițoiu lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Cristinel Militaru. Costel Petriceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristinel Militaru having to interfere. When Draghia's Nistor Andrițoiu in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Costel Petriceanu in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristinel Militaru, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nistor Andrițoiu in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristinel Militaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Sporting FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Francisc Nestor hit a great ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting FC's goalkeeper Cristinel Militaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Costel Petriceanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Draghia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 48th minute, Costel Petriceanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Nistor Andrițoiu struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Cristinel Militaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Draghia. In the 56thth minute of the game Costel Petriceanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting FC's Cristinel Militaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nistor Andrițoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Draghia's Nistor Andrițoiu got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valeriu Flintașu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Cristinel Militaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Codruț Luncanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Draghia's Nistor Andrițoiu got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nistor Andrițoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valer Mereacre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Francisc Nestor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Draghia the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sporting FC's Francisc Nestor got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 85thth minute of the game Nistor Andrițoiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting FC's Cristinel Militaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Costel Petriceanu came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Draghia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costel Petriceanu couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the game, Nistor Andrițoiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Cristinel Militaru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Draghia's Costel Petriceanu got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nistor Andrițoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristinel Militaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Petriceanu in the 95th minute of the match. Draghia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
