Codruț Semeghin came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Draghia's Costel Petriceanu. But to his dismay, Costel Petriceanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in UFC ROMAN CLUB's zone, Valer Mereacre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Codruț Semeghin came out of the goal and Valer Mereacre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the game, Draghia's Costel Petriceanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Codruț Semeghin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Costel Petriceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Costel Petriceanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Codruț Semeghin. UFC ROMAN CLUB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Costel Petriceanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Codruț Semeghin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nistor Andrițoiu's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Draghia's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Stolnicu came free, but Francisc Bântu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, UFC ROMAN CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Costel Petriceanu came free, but Codruț Semeghin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nistor Andrițoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Codruț Semeghin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Octav Doinaș stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Draghia booed when UFC ROMAN CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Răzvan Ghionescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valeriu Flintașu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Codruț Semeghin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Codruț Semeghin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Petriceanu in the 56th minute of play. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Nistor Andrițoiu sped through UFC ROMAN CLUB's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Codruț Semeghin. Valeriu Flintașu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nistor Andrițoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costel Petriceanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Codruț Semeghin having to make a save. When Draghia's Nistor Andrițoiu in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UFC ROMAN CLUB's goalie prevented a goal. Codruț Semeghin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nistor Andrițoiu in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Nistor Andrițoiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nistor Andrițoiu in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Codruț Semeghin saved UFC ROMAN CLUB from getting behind. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind UFC ROMAN CLUB's goalkeeper Codruț Semeghin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Andrițoiu in the 91st minute of play forced UFC ROMAN CLUB's goalkeeper Codruț Semeghin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alin Sucigan fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UFC ROMAN CLUB's protests and gave Alin Sucigan a yellow card for diving instead. Alin Sucigan hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Francisc Bântu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Doinaș, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The UFC ROMAN CLUB fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Draghia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
