Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 10) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Valentin Cornoiu got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Murgu in the 5th minute of play forced FC Girdoaia's goalkeeper Eric Todericiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute Valentin Cornoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Macovescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grigore Blaga in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidiu Macovescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the match, Feneris's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Cornoiu came free, but Ovidiu Macovescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feneris's Leonard Murgu suffered a sore foot after 14 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valer Cărtărescu during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Feneris's Mădălin Jula was substituted for Leonard Murgu. In the 16th match minute, FC Girdoaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Cărtărescu to maneuver through the defense. When Marcu Moșoiu fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Feneris's protests and gave Marcu Moșoiu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Marcu Moșoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grigore Blaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ovidiu Macovescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Feneris got a freekick which was hit by David Murgu. Ovidiu Macovescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Grigore Blaga's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Ovidiu Macovescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Blaga in the 29th minute of play. When FC Girdoaia's Grigore Blaga in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Feneris's goalie prevented a goal. Mădălin Jula could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Eric Todericiu made a huge save. Feneris's Marcu Moșoiu got his second yellow card of the match in the 39th minute. The referee ordered Marcu Moșoiu off the ground. In the 40th minute, Marcu Moșoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Blaga in the 42nd minute of play forced Feneris's goalkeeper Ovidiu Macovescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mădălin Jula struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Eric Todericiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Feneris. Feneris's Mădălin Jula got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Valer Cărtărescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Claudiu Mailat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Mădălin Jula made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute David Chirculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Macovescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grigore Blaga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Ovidiu Macovescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Feneris's Mădălin Jula got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudiu Mailat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Todericiu having to interfere. Eric Todericiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mădălin Jula in the 66th minute of the match. Grigore Blaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Feneris getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Nechifor Bungescu hit a great ball. Eric Todericiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Mailat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FC Girdoaia's zone, Iacob Cristoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Todericiu came out of the goal and Iacob Cristoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the game, David Murgu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Feneris's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Girdoaia the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Feneris fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! FC Girdoaia's Eric Todericiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mădălin Jula in the 90th minute of play. Viorel Cănănău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute Mădălin Jula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Todericiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
