Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Emanuel Şerban made the kick off which started today's match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Nișu in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Miron saved ATG from getting behind. Iurie Ciucă's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Victor Miron firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gelu Blaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Şerban in the 11th minute of play. ATG's Victor Miron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Nișu in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iurie Ciucă got free with Victor Miron in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Emanuel Nișu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, CFR Cluj's Denis Hurmuzache got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Victor Miron made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Iurie Ciucă sent off a good shot on target. When Iurie Ciucă came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the CFR Cluj fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iurie Ciucă couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd play minute Iurie Ciucă came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Victor Miron. 1-0. Emanuel Nișu's late challenge caught a ATG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Nișu helped the player get up and apologised. Emanuel Nișu hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Emanuel Nișu got his second yellow card in the match during the 36th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 37th minute, Emanuel Nișu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in ATG's zone, Denis Hurmuzache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Miron came out of the goal and Denis Hurmuzache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Miron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iurie Ciucă in the 41st minute. Victor Miron didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 42nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Iurie Ciucă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 57th minute, Denis Hurmuzache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 58 minutes, Costin Coșereanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATG and the CFR Cluj players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olimpiu Durbacă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Iurie Ciucă sped through ATG's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Victor Miron. Victor Miron stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mircea Vornicu's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Iurie Ciucă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Miron having to interfere. Denis Hurmuzache struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Victor Miron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CFR Cluj. When Iurie Ciucă came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the CFR Cluj fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iurie Ciucă couldn't finish the play. Iurie Ciucă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Victor Miron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Miron didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Denis Hurmuzache went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Victor Miron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Durbacă in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, CFR Cluj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petre Axinte to maneuver through the defense. Gelu Blaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Simionescu in the 93rd minute of the match. Emanuel Şerban struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Gelu Blaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATG. CFR Cluj's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
