In the 29th minute Șerban Ailenei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Balint saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Berceni's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Basarab came free, but Olimpiu Panescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Liviu Aldescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Olimpiu Panescu. FC Steaua Berceni's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Panait Balint acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Niculae Brânzaș. Panait Balint stood somewhat misplaced when Șerban Ailenei came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 78 minute. In the 83rd minute, Radu Tănase got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Corneliu Basarab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Șerban Ailenei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Panait Balint. Dinamo Bucuresti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Șerban Ailenei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Radu Tănase sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Steaua Berceni played a much better game than Dinamo Bucuresti and deserved their victory. The Dinamo Bucuresti players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
