Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rareș Magheru got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Cristinel Carp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petre Bouleanu. Babarunca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristinel Carp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Rareș Magheru got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Narcis Protases short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Niculae Pantea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Niculae Pantea managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Babarunca's Narcis Protase fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. -BZF- Great Expectations's Niculae Pantea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save -BZF- Great Expectations from getting a goal against them. Petre Bouleanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Carp in the 21st minute of the match. Rareș Magheru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th match minute, Babarunca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustinian Cârnu to maneuver through the defense. Narcis Protase received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Niculae Pantea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niculae Pantea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rareș Magheru's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Narcis Protase could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Niculae Pantea made a huge save. Rareș Magheru's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Niculae Pantea skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rareș Magheru in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niculae Pantea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrian Mândru was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Great Expectations's zone, Narcis Protase stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niculae Pantea came out of the goal and Narcis Protase tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rareș Magheru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niculae Pantea having to interfere. Dorel Gorcea's late challenge caught a Babarunca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorel Gorcea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, -BZF- Great Expectations was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorel Gorcea to maneuver through the defense. Rareș Magheru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Babarunca's Petre Bouleanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Mândru in the 64th minute of play. Rareș Magheru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niculae Pantea having to interfere. Niculae Pantea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Magheru in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Dorel Gorcea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rareș Magheru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Petre Bouleanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Mândru in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute of the match Iustin Ciompec shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niculae Pantea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rareș Magheru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narcis Protase received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Niculae Pantea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Rareș Magheru put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Niculae Pantea. Rareș Magheru charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rareș Magheru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rareș Magheru hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Babarunca were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
