Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mugurel Mihu got the match started through his kick off. 8 minutes into the match, SPARTANII's goalkeeper Gheorghe Piț had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filip Spineanu. Pancota's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SPARTANII the free kick. In the 45th minute, Robert Ghețea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gheorghe Vădan made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robert Ghețea in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gheorghe Piț prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filip Spineanu in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gheorghe Piț saved SPARTANII from getting behind. Mihnea Cezar struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Gheorghe Piț didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pancota. Robert Ghețea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Piț having to interfere. SPARTANII's Gheorghe Piț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihnea Cezar in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Iulian Cîrțu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pancota's supporters rose to their feet, but Iulian Cîrțu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gheorghe Piț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filip Spineanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gheorghe Piț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iulian Cîrțu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Piț having to interfere. If Robert Ghețea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind SPARTANII's goalkeeper Gheorghe Piț, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Filip Spineanu was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The audience was convinced that Ştefan Pârlog's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gheorghe Piț was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Pancota's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
