In the 15th minute, Manuel Moșneanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iustinian Ungureanu made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Pompiliu Gagiu sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute, Pompiliu Gagiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iustinian Ungureanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 25 played minutes Bulgarus got a freekick which was hit by Panait Covrig. Bulgarus's attentive Panait Covrig managed to snatch the ball when Niculae Dorian made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. After 36 played minutes FC MITI got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Grigore. Andrei Rotariu missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 42 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Nicu Răchită right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Viorel Zogreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bulgarus's supporters rose to their feet, but Viorel Zogreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicu Răchită breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vlad Dridu was the one to do the kick off. Viorel Zogreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Nicu Răchită tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Viorel Zogreanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nicu Răchită was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, FC MITI's Mugur Grigore got a free kick in the 58th minute. Nicu Răchită came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bulgarus's Viorel Zogreanu. But to his dismay, Viorel Zogreanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Edgar Otețea was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Bulgarus's Edgar Otețea got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute of the match Niculae Dorian sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iustinian Ungureanu skillfully saved the ball. Viorel Zogreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Nicu Răchită tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrei Rotariu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 89 minutes, Pompiliu Gagiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC MITI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pompiliu Gagiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vlad Dridu struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Iustinian Ungureanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC MITI. Iustinian Ungureanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vlad Dridu, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Vlad Dridu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC MITI's supporters rose to their feet, but Vlad Dridu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iustinian Ungureanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Bulgarus could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC MITI throughout the match.
