The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cazimir Albescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Marian Buta sped through Bata's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tudor Țâpu. Eduard Pătrașcu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Albescu in the 17th minute of the match. When Marian Buta came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Movilele fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marian Buta couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd match minute, Movilele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calistrat Chiriac to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduard Pătrașcu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cazimir Albescu during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Bata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Albescu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Bata getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Horea Mudura hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Vasile Moisescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bata's supporters rose to their feet, but Vasile Moisescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduard Pătrașcu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bata players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Movilele.
