The supporters of Fc.Targu-Mures booed when Bata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irinel Diaconescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filip Ciuvică made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Vasile Moisescu sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nae Ruşdea was the one to do the kick off. Tudor Țâpu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nae Ruşdea's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Viorel Prunaru hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Robert Doloman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Tudor Țâpu made a huge save. Filip Ciuvică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Moisescu in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Robert Doloman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bata had won after a very even match.
