The audience was convinced that Teodor Dragoș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vasile Daria was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Ionel Moscu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicodim Spânu, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Nicodim Spânu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ionel Moscu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Nicodim Vătafu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasile Daria having to interfere. Nichifor Muntean struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Vasile Daria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vlasinesti AFC. Nicodim Vătafu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Vasile Daria made a huge save. In the 32nd match minute, FC Wolverine-Stiinta- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costel Melinte to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Wolverine-Stiinta-'s zone, Nichifor Muntean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasile Daria came out of the goal and Nichifor Muntean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Nicodim Spânu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Wolverine-Stiinta-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicodim Spânu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Octav Maghear hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Nichifor Muntean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nichifor Muntean came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Vlasinesti AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nichifor Muntean couldn't finish the play. Panait Floroiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicodim Spânu to make the kick off. If Nicodim Vătafu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nichifor Muntean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Vasile Daria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Panait Floroiu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Vlasinesti AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panait Floroiu couldn't finish the play. Vlasinesti AFC's Teodor Dragoș got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicodim Vătafu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vasile Daria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicodim Vătafu in the 77th minute of the match. If Nichifor Muntean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Cutieru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicodim Vătafu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nichifor Muntean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Vasile Daria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Although Vlasinesti AFC had been in control for most of the match, FC Wolverine-Stiinta- still came away with the win.
