Viorel Moșneanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandru Frumușanu's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Dinamo Bucuresti's goalkeeper Ferdinand Vornicu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentin Rada. In the 26th minute Alexandru Frumușanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viorel Moșneanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grigore Voinescu scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viorel Moșneanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Viorel Moșneanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandru Frumușanu in the 32nd minute of the match. FC Dya Bucuresti's Viorel Moșneanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandru Frumușanu in the 38th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Alexandru Frumușanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viorel Moșneanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Alexandru Frumușanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Viorel Moșneanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandru Frumușanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Valentin Rada might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdinand Vornicu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valentin Rada ran back to his position shaking his head. After 54 minutes of play, FC Dya Bucuresti's Dumitru Buricea made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferdinand Vornicu was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandru Frumușanu in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Viorel Moșneanu saved FC Dya Bucuresti from getting behind. After 60 played minutes FC Dya Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Irinel Porumboiu. The supporters of Dinamo Bucuresti booed when FC Dya Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Mârzac didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinamo Bucuresti's Grigore Voinescu got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Dya Bucuresti's Valentin Rada got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denis Armanca kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When Eduard Cazimir fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dinamo Bucuresti's protests and gave Eduard Cazimir a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dinamo Bucuresti getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Eduard Cazimir hit a great ball. Dumitru Buricea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Vornicu having to interfere. Viorel Moșneanu made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Grigore Voinescu sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, FC Dya Bucuresti's Viorel Moșneanu got control of the ball when Eduard Cazimir tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dinamo Bucuresti walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
