Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sergiu Brad started the match with the kick off. Cosmin Cojocaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionică Tudor, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. In the 4th minute Ionică Tudor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosmin Cojocaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cotina's Petruț Savin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Cotina from getting a goal against them. Cotina's Ferdinand Rânceanu got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cosmin Cojocaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionică Tudor in the 9th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Lucrețiu Ciolpan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ionică Tudor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bolintin United's Cosmin Cojocaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionică Tudor in the 12th minute of play. Ionică Tudor hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Ferdinand Rânceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Cojocaru having to interfere. With a little luck, Cotina's Petruț Savin got control of the ball when Lucian Argăseală tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ferdinand Rânceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Costandache hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Sergiu Brad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petruț Savin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Cosmin Cojocaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Rânceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ionică Tudor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 38 minutes into the match, Ferdinand Rânceanu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bolintin United's Cosmin Cojocaru. Cosmin Cojocaru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ferdinand Rânceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionică Tudor in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosmin Cojocaru saved Bolintin United from getting behind. If Ferdinand Rânceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferdinand Rânceanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ionică Tudor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ferdinand Rânceanu struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Cosmin Cojocaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cotina. Cosmin Cojocaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Rânceanu in the 65th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Ionică Tudor fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cosmin Cojocaru, passed just outside the right post. Ionică Tudor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Cosmin Cojocaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute Ferdinand Rânceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosmin Cojocaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ferdinand Rânceanu came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Cotina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinand Rânceanu couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Ferdinand Rânceanu took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Cosmin Cojocaru to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Ferdinand Rânceanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cosmin Cojocaru. That made the score 0-4 in the 89 minute of play. Cotina's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
