The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Napoca United's Romeo Gănescu got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sz.V.K Vasas.F.C's Gabriel Panaiteanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vlad Tolea. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. Mihail Cămătaru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maxim Blaga went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Gănescu in the 18th minute of play forced Sz.V.K Vasas.F.C's goalkeeper Mihail Cămătaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihail Cămătaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Lăzărescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxim Blaga struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Mihail Cămătaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Napoca United. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Gheorghe Văduvescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Napoca United's supporters rose to their feet, but Gheorghe Văduvescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihail Cămătaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mihail Cămătaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Lăzărescu in the 30th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Pușcașu got free with Vlad Tolea in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 32 played minutes Sz.V.K Vasas.F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cristi Cicortaș. Maxim Blaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vlad Tolea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Panaiteanu in the 36th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Napoca United's Alex Lăzărescu made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihail Cămătaru was left in no man's land by his defense there! 48 minutes into the match, Sz.V.K Vasas.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Lăzărescu came free, but Mihail Cămătaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Panaiteanu to make the kick off. If Martin Pușcașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sz.V.K Vasas.F.C's Horaţiu Ignea quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Constantin Nicea, made in the 64th minute of the game. The supporters of Sz.V.K Vasas.F.C booed when Napoca United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim Blaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sz.V.K Vasas.F.C's Cristi Cicortaș managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Constantin Nicea in the 68 minute of the game. 71 minutes into the match, Martin Pușcașu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vlad Tolea. Napoca United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Pușcașu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After some careless play in the Napoca United defense, Martin Pușcașu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vlad Tolea. The Napoca United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vlad Tolea should have stopped the shot. Mihail Cămătaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Gănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Panaiteanu in the 82nd minute of play forced Napoca United's goalkeeper Vlad Tolea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sz.V.K Vasas.F.C's Mihail Cămătaru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Sz.V.K Vasas.F.C from getting a goal against them. Mihail Cămătaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Gănescu in the 88th minute of the match. Gabriel Panaiteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Vlad Tolea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Pușcașu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
