Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Felix Postelnicu started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Shadowfire's Sabin Cazimir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rareș Zdrehuş narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 5th minute, Adrian Gligor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 10th minute, Corneliu Bungescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgil Ionaș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Bungescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gică Bejgăneanu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Adrian Gligor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd play minute Sabin Cazimir came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rareș Zdrehuş. 1-0. A collision led to Shadowfire getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Claudiu Ciuvică hit a great ball. In the 27th match minute, Shadowfire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Gligor to maneuver through the defense. After 29 minutes of play, Giura's Felix Postelnicu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Virgil Ionaș was left in no man's land by his defense there! Giura's Rareș Zdrehuş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Giura from getting a goal against them. Felix Postelnicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Corneliu Bungescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giura's supporters rose to their feet, but Corneliu Bungescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgil Ionaș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adrian Gligor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rareș Zdrehuş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabin Cazimir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Felix Postelnicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Gligor struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Rareș Zdrehuş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shadowfire. Adrian Gligor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rareș Zdrehuş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corneliu Bungescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgil Ionaș. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Corneliu Bungescu ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Shadowfire's Virgil Ionaș got control of the ball when Corneliu Bungescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Shadowfire's Virgil Ionaș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Postelnicu in the 85th minute of play. When Radu Lăceanu fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shadowfire's protests and gave Radu Lăceanu a yellow card for diving instead. Radu Lăceanu hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Giura's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Gligor came free, but Rareș Zdrehuş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
