The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Emilian Fărcașu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichifor Liciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilian Fărcașu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nichifor Liciu having to interfere. Olimpiu Bucataru lost his temper 14 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hust SC! Iurie Bouleanu struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Nichifor Liciu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hust SC. When Iurie Bouleanu came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Hust SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iurie Bouleanu couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Valeriu Minda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nichifor Liciu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Iurie Bouleanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nichifor Liciu having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Petru Şelaru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Soare to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Hust SC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Emilian Fărcașu hit a great ball. After some careless play in the L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila defense, Iurie Bouleanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nichifor Liciu. Thanks to some nice moves Gabriel Dindelegan could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Paul Slătineanu however easily saved by the left post. Paul Slătineanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Soare in the 70th minute of the match. Emilian Fărcașu hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila's Petru Şelaru got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Valeriu Minda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iurie Bouleanu struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. The supporters of L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila booed when Hust SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oğuz Tuyuğ didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 played minutes Hust SC got a freekick which was hit by Oğuz Tuyuğ. Iosif Drâmbă charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iosif Drâmbă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Iosif Drâmbă hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After having played for 97 minutes, Iurie Bouleanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hust SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iurie Bouleanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
