Spectators: 7332 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Valer Botgros took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Ionică Encica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Madrid's supporters rose to their feet, but Ionică Encica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornel Hațegan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petelea were furious when Matei Bute was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 8th minute, one of Petelea:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Petelea. Emanuel Gheban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Doru Mihaiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Claudiu Nacu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doru Mihaiu was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Claudiu Nacu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornel Hațegan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Gaiță in the 22nd minute of play. Claudiu Nacu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Ionică Encica ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornel Hațegan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cornel Hațegan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Gaiță in the 31st minute of play. Petelea's Cornel Hațegan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Gaiță in the 36th minute of play. Sebastian Buhuș hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Sebastian Buhuș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ştefan Gaiță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42ndth minute of the game Claudiu Nacu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Madrid's Doru Mihaiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Real Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Nacu came free, but Doru Mihaiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Valer Botgros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Hațegan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doru Mihaiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Nacu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When Ştefan Gaiță came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Real Madrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ştefan Gaiță couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, Claudiu Nacu notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Real Madrid's Doru Mihaiu. With a little luck, Petelea's Cornel Hațegan got control of the ball when Sebastian Buhuș tried to sneak it across the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Real Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Nacu came free, but Doru Mihaiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
