The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bubulina FC's Ion Ene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Ciucă in the 4th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Bubulina FC's Vali Olăroiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Codruț Bute made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 20 minutes of play, Bubulina FC's Mugurel Tolea made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Codruț Bute was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the match, Bubulina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Ciucă came free, but Ion Ene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Codruț Bute made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Olăroiu in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Udrea in the 26th minute of play forced Bubulina FC's goalkeeper Ion Ene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Eliodor Baican had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ion Ene. Bubulina FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliodor Baican was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Azuga's Codruț Bute played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Olăroiu in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Vali Olăroiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Codruț Bute was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 38th minute, Vali Olăroiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bubulina FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Azuga's Eliodor Baican slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ion Ene. That made the score 2-4 after 44 minutes of play. 47 minutes into the match, Azuga's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Olăroiu came free, but Codruț Bute reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vali Olăroiu made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Eliodor Baican mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Azuga and the Bubulina FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Eliodor Baican hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Eliodor Baican left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Azuga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. Vali Olăroiu kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Bubulina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliodor Baican came free, but Ion Ene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Codruț Bute was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vali Olăroiu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-6 in the 66 minute of play. In the 71st minute, Bubulina FC's Vali Olăroiu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Codruț Bute. Codruț Bute yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-7. In the 74th match minute, Bubulina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Cârneci to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Ciucă in the 77th minute of play forced Bubulina FC's goalkeeper Ion Ene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Mugurel Tolea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bubulina FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-8. Codruț Bute was a little too slow when Costel Grozuță got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 3-9. Remus Arșanu made in the 94th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eliodor Baican however managed to control.
