Mugur Valerian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DINAMO BUCURESTI. After some careless play in the rozator defense, Dan Isopescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mugur Valerian. The rozator fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mugur Valerian should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute, Octavian Bogdan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Costică Pascariu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 20 played minutes rozator got a freekick which was hit by Gigi Moarcăș. Mugur Valerian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrei Drâmba, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gigi Papadache kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Costică Pascariu. That made the score 2-1 in the 32 minute of play. rozator's Gigi Papadache got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Octavian Bogdan managed to get in a good position for a shot. rozator's supporters rose to their feet, but Octavian Bogdan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costică Pascariu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dan Isopescu made a kick off. Costică Pascariu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octavian Bogdan's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Costică Pascariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavian Bogdan in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Dan Isopescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Valerian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigi Papadache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costică Pascariu having to interfere. Costică Pascariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigi Papadache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narcis Orădan during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to rozator getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Narcis Orădan hit a great ball. Leonard Cruceru was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Gigi Papadache's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Costică Pascariu was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Costică Pascariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavian Bogdan, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute.
