Gheorghe Teodorescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Lucescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Aurelian Negreanu hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Vlad Baldazar scored 0-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gheorghe Teodorescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Petre Lucescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Gheorghe Teodorescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of F.C.NAZNACHENIYA booed when SR Brasov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nichifor Bărboianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The F.C.NAZNACHENIYA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SR Brasov were winning 0-1.

Petre Lucescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Teodorescu having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petre Lucescu couldn't finish the play. The supporters of F.C.NAZNACHENIYA booed when SR Brasov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Negreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SR Brasov walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
