Spectators: 7495 (Terracing: 5622, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Matei Zoreanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th minute Matei Zoreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iustinian Răuţă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Eugen Pintilie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Berca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Romeo Hălmăgeanu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Victor Potopea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 12 minute of play. Romeo Hălmăgeanu came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Steaua Bcr.'s Laurențiu Manciulea. But to his dismay, Laurențiu Manciulea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 25 minutes, Iulian Zdrenghea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Steaua Bcr. and the Berca players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes Steaua Bcr. got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Zdrenghea. After a defensive mix-up in Steaua Bcr.'s zone, Matei Zoreanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iustinian Răuţă came out of the goal and Matei Zoreanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iustinian Răuţă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matei Zoreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grigore Ciulei hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When Eugen Pintilie fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berca's protests and gave Eugen Pintilie a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Berca got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Pintilie. Marcel Dogaru kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Iustinian Răuţă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matei Zoreanu in the 43rd minute of the match. When Nicu Cârneci fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berca's protests and gave Nicu Cârneci a yellow card for diving instead. Nicu Cârneci hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Matei Zoreanu made the kick off in the second half. Iustinian Răuţă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matei Zoreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Eugen Pintilie might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iustinian Răuţă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugen Pintilie ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 61st match minute, Steaua Bcr. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gică Filip to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 64 minutes, Matei Zoreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matei Zoreanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 67 in the game by Eugen Pintilie from a close distance when the talented Iustinian Răuţă managed to make a qualified save. Steaua Bcr.'s players were relieved. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Iustinian Răuţă successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Steaua Bcr.'s Iustinian Răuţă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matei Zoreanu in the 76th minute of play. Eugen Pintilie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Matei Zoreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iustinian Răuţă having to interfere. Iustinian Răuţă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matei Zoreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Steaua Bcr. had won after a very even match.
