Codrin Vişoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Scorţea in the 3rd minute of play. UFC Claudesti's Andrei Ipătescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save UFC Claudesti from getting a goal against them. Horaţiu Buzilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Octavian Scorţea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute, Lucrețiu Pencu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Marcusi FCM booed when UFC Claudesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Voiculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horaţiu Buzilă struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Andrei Ipătescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marcusi FCM. 31 minutes into the match, Marcusi FCM's Horaţiu Buzilă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrei Ipătescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niculae Orescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Octavian Scorţea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiberiu Iorgovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Codrin Vişoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Marcusi FCM got a freekick which was hit by Iosif Tremurici. 57 minutes into the match, Marcusi FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Scorţea came free, but Codrin Vişoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Codrin Vişoiu made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Tiberiu Iorgovan sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute of the match Iosif Tremurici shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrei Ipătescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute Niculae Orescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Ipătescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Marcusi FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Cristescu to maneuver through the defense. Marcusi FCM's Codrin Vişoiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Marcusi FCM from getting a goal against them. Marcusi FCM's Niculae Orescu got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcusi FCM's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
