Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fabian Șeitan made the kick off which started today's match. 9 minutes into the match, FCSB CLUJ's goal looked a bit too open when Maxim Spiridon came free, but Calistrat Cârneci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fabian Șeitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute Fabian Șeitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dumitru Frâncu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costică Crișan kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Fabian Șeitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dumitru Frâncu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ghiurche CSS getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Codruț Gherase hit a great ball. Ionuț Jupâneanu struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Dumitru Frâncu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FCSB CLUJ. A collision led to Ghiurche CSS getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Cornel Encioiu hit a great ball. Dumitru Frâncu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionuț Jupâneanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute, Fabian Șeitan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dumitru Frâncu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Horea Senin hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Maxim Spiridon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Calistrat Cârneci came out and tried to block the shot, but Maxim Spiridon slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 35th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augustin Ştercă during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 40 minutes, Mihăiţă Tirulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ghiurche CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihăiţă Tirulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maxim Spiridons short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Calistrat Cârneci to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maxim Spiridon to make the kick off. Laurențiu Baniciu's late challenge caught a Ghiurche CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurențiu Baniciu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, FCSB CLUJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Baniciu to maneuver through the defense. If Maxim Spiridon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FCSB CLUJ's Horea Senin got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute of the match Victor Peptan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Calistrat Cârneci showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the FCSB CLUJ defense, Robert Oțeteleșanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Calistrat Cârneci. The FCSB CLUJ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Calistrat Cârneci should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the match, Maxim Spiridon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Calistrat Cârneci. FCSB CLUJ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maxim Spiridon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. FCSB CLUJ's Calistrat Cârneci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Oțeteleșanu in the 67th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Ghiurche CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Șeitan came free, but Dumitru Frâncu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Oțeteleșanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Moise Lucescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Oțeteleșanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Dumitru Frâncu managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when FCSB CLUJ's Ionuț Jupâneanu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ghiurche CSS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FCSB CLUJ for a fine match.
