In the 30th minute, Cristi Gâțea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, LUCEAFARUL BUCURESTIULUI's Cornel Constantinescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Codrin Vişoiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Niculae Orescu came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Marcusi FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niculae Orescu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niculae Orescu in the 70th minute of play forced LUCEAFARUL BUCURESTIULUI's goalkeeper Irinel Achifoaiei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, LUCEAFARUL BUCURESTIULUI's Cornel Constantinescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Codrin Vişoiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niculae Orescu in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Irinel Achifoaiei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristi Moldovan hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Codruț Bute hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristi Gâțea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of LUCEAFARUL BUCURESTIULUI booed when Marcusi FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costin Suciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the game, one of Marcusi FCM:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. LUCEAFARUL BUCURESTIULUI walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
