Andrei Ipătescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Butuc in the 8th minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, UFC Claudesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Otețea to maneuver through the defense. Andrei Ipătescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Butuc, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Emil Butuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Deportivo Calarasi getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Damian Gârneț hit a great ball. Marcu Dragalina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Deportivo Calarasi's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Puric had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiberiu Iorgovan. Emil Butuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiberiu Iorgovan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emil Butuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrei Ipătescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcu Dragalina in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emil Butuc in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrei Ipătescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dacian Contra hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavian Scorţea in the 46th minute of play forced Deportivo Calarasi's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Puric to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emil Butuc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. UFC Claudesti's Andrei Ipătescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save UFC Claudesti from getting a goal against them. Deportivo Calarasi's Marcu Dragalina got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrei Ipătescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Butuc in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Marcu Ciucă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Marcu Dragalina got free in front of the goal in the 67th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Andrei Ipătescu was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Lucrețiu Puric showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Iorgovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Marcu Dragalina notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of UFC Claudesti's Andrei Ipătescu. Andrei Ipătescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Emil Butuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil Butuc might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrei Ipătescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emil Butuc ran back to his position shaking his head. Emil Butuc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, UFC Claudesti's Andrei Ipătescu got control of the ball when Marcu Dragalina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deportivo Calarasi's Emil Butuc got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Deportivo Calarasi could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than UFC Claudesti throughout the match.
