The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Romeo Ciorogaru fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ciao-Ciao's protests and gave Romeo Ciorogaru a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ciao-Ciao's Romeo Ciorogaru got a free kick in the 5th minute. Sebastian Baldovin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Voica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pompiliu Maior kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Gigel Răduleț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciao-Ciao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigel Răduleț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Gigel Răduleț left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ciao-Ciao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After recieving a nice pass, Ciao-Ciao's Adam Dragomiroiu tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gigel Răduleț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciao-Ciao's Romeo Ciorogaru got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Gigel Răduleț made a precise shot to the right of Cătălin Crăcană. SUPER OTELUL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. SUPER OTELUL's Cătălin Crăcană played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Ciorogaru in the 38th minute of play. Gigel Răduleț received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Cătălin Crăcană tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costică Voica might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Baldovin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Costică Voica ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Sebastian Baldovin managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when SUPER OTELUL's Nichifor Iovulescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Ciorogaru in the 49th minute of play forced SUPER OTELUL's goalkeeper Cătălin Crăcană to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Romeo Ciorogaru struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Cătălin Crăcană didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciao-Ciao. Pompiliu Maior hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Ciao-Ciao's Adam Dragomiroiu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SUPER OTELUL. Romeo Ciorogaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Cătălin Crăcană tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Romeo Ciorogaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gigel Răduleț got free with Cătălin Crăcană in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nichifor Iovulescu took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Baldovin. Sebastian Baldovin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Romeo Ciorogaru received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cătălin Crăcană came out and tried to block the shot, but Romeo Ciorogaru slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 77th minute. Cătălin Crăcană stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Ciorogaru's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Ciao-Ciao's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Voica came free, but Sebastian Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciao-Ciao's Gigel Răduleț got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciao-Ciao played a much better game than SUPER OTELUL and deserved their victory. The SUPER OTELUL players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
