Renașterea Drumul Taberei's Grigore Stolojan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Pârcălab in the 4th minute of play. When Renașterea Drumul Taberei's Martin Tirulescu in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tomnatec's goalkeeper Ernest Agârbiceanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 12 minutes into the game, Marcel Agulescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tomnatec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Renașterea Drumul Taberei the free kick. After 13 played minutes Tomnatec got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Agulescu. With an all-out effort, Tomnatec's Grigore Stolojan threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Toader Antim, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 18 minutes into the match, Renașterea Drumul Taberei's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Dumitrache came free, but Grigore Stolojan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Dumitrache in the 19th minute of play forced Renașterea Drumul Taberei's goalkeeper Grigore Stolojan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Tomnatec's Valentin Isăilă got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Nae Ruşdea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renașterea Drumul Taberei's Grigore Stolojan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nistor Dumitrache in the 27th minute of play. Grigore Stolojan was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Nistor Dumitrache capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nistor Dumitrache really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Grigore Stolojan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 34th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Toader Antim took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Grigore Stolojan to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Martin Tirulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Renașterea Drumul Taberei's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Tirulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernest Agârbiceanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Corneliu Todoran was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 52 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, Corneliu Todoran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 55 minutes into the match, Renașterea Drumul Taberei's goal looked a bit too open when Dacian Şchiopu came free, but Grigore Stolojan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grigore Stolojan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dacian Şchiopu, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Grigore Stolojan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vali Pârcălab in the 66th minute of the match. Petru Pacuraru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ernest Agârbiceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toader Antim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the game, Liviu Pelin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Renașterea Drumul Taberei's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tomnatec the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Nae Ruşdea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Mihăiţă Voica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mihăiţă Voica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nae Ruşdea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
