In the 17th minute, Cornel Nanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Perchiu CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Vali Pârcălab could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Nicodim Robu made a huge save. A collision led to Perchiu CF getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Liviu Chițu hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Nistor Dumitrache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Robu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horaţiu Anastasiu in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernest Agârbiceanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernest Agârbiceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Nanu in the 29th minute of play. Nicodim Robu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dacian Şchiopu in the 33rd minute. During the 33rd minute of the match Liviu Chițu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Liviu Chițu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 39th minute Cornel Nanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Agârbiceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomnatec's Ernest Agârbiceanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionuț Comăneci in the 41st minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cornel Nanu was the one to do the kick off. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 77 minutes into the match, Tomnatec's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Nanu came free, but Ernest Agârbiceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ionuț Comăneci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Ernest Agârbiceanu made a huge save. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomnatec's Ernest Agârbiceanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Tomnatec from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Tomnatec's Toader Antim got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 87 minutes, Ionuț Comăneci made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Tomnatec's Ernest Agârbiceanu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cornel Nanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Perchiu CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horaţiu Anastasiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tomnatec's goalkeeper Ernest Agârbiceanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
