The crowd rose to their feet as Perchiu CF's Cornel Nanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Grigore Stolojan. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Grigore Stolojan was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Anton Huștea capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anton Huștea really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. With an all-out effort, Perchiu CF's Grigore Stolojan threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Horaţiu Anastasiu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Codrin Văduvescu fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Renașterea Drumul Taberei's protests and gave Codrin Văduvescu a yellow card for diving instead. Codrin Văduvescu kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Sălcudeanu during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Renașterea Drumul Taberei getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Fabian Sălcudeanu hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Cornel Nanu took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Grigore Stolojan to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horaţiu Anastasiu got free with Grigore Stolojan in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grigore Stolojan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Nanu in the 32nd minute of play. Grigore Stolojan made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Liviu Chițu sent off a good shot on target. Grigore Stolojan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Liviu Chițu in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horaţiu Anastasiu to strike the kick off in the second half. Grigore Stolojan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Renașterea Drumul Taberei's Grigore Stolojan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Bordeanu in the 61st minute of play. Grigore Stolojan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Chițu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Liviu Chițu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigore Stolojan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renașterea Drumul Taberei's Grigore Stolojan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Chițu in the 72nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Renașterea Drumul Taberei defense, Horaţiu Anastasiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grigore Stolojan. The Renașterea Drumul Taberei fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grigore Stolojan should have stopped the shot. Liviu Chițu took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grigore Stolojan. Grigore Stolojan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. Liviu Chițu scored 11-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Grigore Stolojan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Nae Ruşdea fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Renașterea Drumul Taberei's protests and gave Nae Ruşdea a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Renașterea Drumul Taberei getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Nae Ruşdea hit a great ball.
