After a rather tough play, Renașterea Drumul Taberei's Corneliu Todoran got a free kick in the 6th minute. After some careless play in the Renașterea Drumul Taberei defense, Romeo Ciorogaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grigore Stolojan. The Renașterea Drumul Taberei fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grigore Stolojan should have stopped the shot. Grigore Stolojan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantin Beca in the 14th minute of play. Renașterea Drumul Taberei's Grigore Stolojan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Răduleț in the 19th minute of play. Grigore Stolojan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Văduva in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Renașterea Drumul Taberei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liviu Pelin to maneuver through the defense. Grigore Stolojan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Ciorogaru in the 29th minute of play. Nae Ruşdea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Baldovin having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Martin Tirulescu made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Baldovin. Ciao-Ciao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Renașterea Drumul Taberei's Grigore Stolojan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Răduleț in the 40th minute of play. Martin Tirulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Baldovin having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Martin Tirulescu made the kick off in the second half. Martin Tirulescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Baldovin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Tirulescu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Ciao-Ciao. Adam Dragomiroiu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Grigore Stolojan. 1-3. Renașterea Drumul Taberei's Petru Pacuraru got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Romeo Ciorogaru kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Grigore Stolojan. That made the score 1-4 in the 65 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Renașterea Drumul Taberei's Martin Tirulescu got a free kick in the 71st minute. Martin Tirulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Adam Dragomiroiu's shot from long distance in the 76th minute was not bad at all, but Renașterea Drumul Taberei's Grigore Stolojan knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Renașterea Drumul Taberei's Grigore Stolojan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Renașterea Drumul Taberei from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nae Ruşdea in the 84th minute of play forced Ciao-Ciao's goalkeeper Sebastian Baldovin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renașterea Drumul Taberei's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Romeo Ciorogaru scored to the left of an out of position Grigore Stolojan, making the score, 1-5. 97 minutes into the match, Ciao-Ciao's goal looked a bit too open when Nae Ruşdea came free, but Sebastian Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Petru Pacuraru came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Renașterea Drumul Taberei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petru Pacuraru couldn't finish the play. The Renașterea Drumul Taberei fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ciao-Ciao were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
