Edgar Vătavu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 16 minutes into the match, FC Alex's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Țepeluș came free, but Ernest Arnăuțescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Pompiliu Dima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, FC Alex's Ernest Arnăuțescu got control of the ball when Eliodor Deșliu tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Petru Alexa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
