When Gelu Rucăreanu came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Mezomojos CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gelu Rucăreanu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicu Țepeluș in the 13th minute of play forced Mezomojos CS's goalkeeper Albert Bojin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gelu Rucăreanu in the 17th minute of play forced FC Rockstadt's goalkeeper Edgar Vătavu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Nicu Țepeluș managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Rockstadt's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicu Țepeluș was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Bojin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
