In the 11th minute, Vintilă Condeescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute of the match Petru Georgescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciprian Iorga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Milescu in the 14th minute of play forced The Squad's goalkeeper Șerban Stroe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sau CSS's zone, Mihail Tărău stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciprian Iorga came out of the goal and Mihail Tărău tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Mihail Tărău's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciprian Iorga was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 21st minute, Anton Ivașcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Sau CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Mihail Tărău came free, but Ciprian Iorga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Sau CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Găman to maneuver through the defense. The referee showed Leonard Găman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nechifor Predoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciprian Iorga having to interfere. The Squad's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
