Papa's Corneliu Sima got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodor Cozac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristi Jucan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iordache Bosioc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute Iordache Bosioc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iustin Ghionescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute of the match Constantin Bourceanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iustin Ghionescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When Anton Săvulescu fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Papa's protests and gave Anton Săvulescu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Papa's Anton Săvulescu got a free kick in the 75th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Papa's zone, Alex Oncescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodor Cozac came out of the goal and Alex Oncescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alex Oncescu struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Teodor Cozac didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Green Eagles FC. If Adam Bostan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iustin Ghionescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iordache Bosioc went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score.
