Spectators: 7209 (Terracing: 5659, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eusebiu Tofan took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stegarii's goalkeeper Rareș Podgoreanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sever Burtea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebiu Tofan's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Rareș Podgoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Zăgănescu in the 12th minute of the match. Rareș Podgoreanu came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Vartopul's Valentin Zăgănescu. But to his dismay, Valentin Zăgănescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A hard shot 26 in the game by Nistor Drumeș from a close distance when the talented Sever Burtea managed to make a qualified save. Vartopul's players were relieved. Ion Zota's late challenge caught a Stegarii's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ion Zota helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute Valentin Zăgănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rareș Podgoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Valentin Zăgănescu made a precise shot to the right of Rareș Podgoreanu. Stegarii's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Moise Frâncu's late challenge caught a Vartopul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moise Frâncu helped the player get up and apologised. With his leg Sever Burtea managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Stegarii's Nistor Drumeș fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sever Burtea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Tofan, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Zăgănescu was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Valentin Zăgănescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stegarii's Rareș Podgoreanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rareș Podgoreanu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valentin Zăgănescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 56 minute of play. If Valentin Zăgănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rareș Podgoreanu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 65th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Valentin Zăgănescu sped through Stegarii's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rareș Podgoreanu. Valentin Zăgănescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Rareș Podgoreanu made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Ion Zota left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vartopul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. 92 minutes into the match, Sabin Răcănel notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Stegarii's Rareș Podgoreanu. Rareș Podgoreanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Vartopul's Ferdinand Bârza got a free kick in the 96th minute.
