In the 26th minute of the match, Gigi Ostoici tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emil Paraschivescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Albert Bocu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Ghercioiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Pojereni AS's goal looked a bit too open when Gigi Ostoici came free, but Emil Paraschivescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pojereni AS's Ion Mohora got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 40th minute, Dorin Găvan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Emil Paraschivescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sorin Eftimescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Albert Bocu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lipanseti-Stiinta-'s Albert Bocu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Lipanseti-Stiinta- from getting a goal against them. Emil Paraschivescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigi Ostoici in the 60th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Lipanseti-Stiinta-'s Sorin Eftimescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emil Paraschivescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Dorin Găvan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albert Bocu having to make a save. Gabriel Ghercioiu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Albert Bocu came out and tried to block the shot, but Gabriel Ghercioiu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the game, Călin Vieru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lipanseti-Stiinta-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pojereni AS the free kick. The supporters of Pojereni AS booed when Lipanseti-Stiinta- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Călin Vieru didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Albert Bocu managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Pojereni AS's Dorin Găvan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manole Ghioane in the 81st minute of play forced Pojereni AS's goalkeeper Emil Paraschivescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorin Găvan hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Gabriel Ghercioiu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
