An unexpectedly hard shot by Șerban Miniș in the 8th minute of play forced CS Virciorova's goalkeeper Emanuel Suciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Tiberiu in the 25th minute of play forced FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's goalkeeper Iurie Constantiniu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Horea Gioagă hit a great ball. Toader Țepeneag fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Constantiniu having to interfere. After 33 minutes of play, FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's Horea Gioagă made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Suciu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Marius Arghiroiu hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Nichifor Mara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iurie Constantiniu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toader Țepeneag in the 58th minute of play. Aurelian Tiberiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Iurie Constantiniu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Cristi Gherghescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CS Virciorova's Emanuel Suciu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristi Gherghescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Emanuel Suciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Aurelian Tiberiu notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's Iurie Constantiniu. Iurie Constantiniu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Șerban Miniș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Șerban Miniș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Emanuel Suciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CS Virciorova's Aurelian Tiberiu got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
