FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristi Gherghescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Berca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Calomfirescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's zone, Daniel Calomfirescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iurie Constantiniu came out of the goal and Daniel Calomfirescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iurie Constantiniu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olimpiu Ciuvică went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Mircea Mihele struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Iurie Constantiniu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tineretului FC. When Mircea Mihele came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Tineretului FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mircea Mihele couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's zone, Denis Bratiloveanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iurie Constantiniu came out of the goal and Denis Bratiloveanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olimpiu Ciuvică fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Constantiniu having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olimpiu Ciuvică was the one to do the kick off. If Nichifor Mara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, Olimpiu Ciuvică got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mircea Mihele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Constantiniu having to interfere. Olimpiu Ciuvică got in the 60th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Iurie Constantiniu handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Tineretului FC's goalkeeper Paul Berca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Șerban Miniș. Marian Cucerdean's late challenge caught a FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Cucerdean helped the player get up and apologised. Marian Cucerdean hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Olimpiu Ciuvică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Marian Cucerdean cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Iurie Constantiniu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 76 minutes into the match, FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Calomfirescu came free, but Iurie Constantiniu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's zone, Olimpiu Ciuvică stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iurie Constantiniu came out of the goal and Olimpiu Ciuvică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Olimpiu Ciuvică managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tineretului FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olimpiu Ciuvică was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iurie Constantiniu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mircea Mihele in the 82nd minute of play. Horea Gioagă hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Olimpiu Ciuvică sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Bratiloveanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iurie Constantiniu having to make a save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tineretului FC fully deserved thier win.
