The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Olimpiu Ciuvică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marian Cucerdean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Valentin Savu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Eliodor Anghel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Olimpiu Ciuvică came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Tineretului FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olimpiu Ciuvică couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Toader Udroiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paul Berca. Tineretului FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toader Udroiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 14th match minute, Tineretului FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Cucerdean to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute of the match Eliodor Anghel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paul Berca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 18th minute Toader Udroiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Berca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Toader Udroiu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paul Berca. That made the score 3-0 in the 28 minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Tineretului FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliodor Anghel came free, but Paul Berca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, Olimpiu Ciuvică managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tineretului FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olimpiu Ciuvică was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 33 minutes, Eliodor Anghel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alchimistul and the Tineretului FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eliodor Anghel hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Alchimistul's goal looked a bit too open when Mircea Mihele came free, but Valentin Savu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olimpiu Ciuvică sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Olimpiu Ciuvică made the kick off in the second half. Paul Berca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toader Udroiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 52 minutes of play, Alchimistul's Toader Udroiu made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paul Berca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Calomfirescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilian Onaca hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 64 minutes of play, Alchimistul's Emilian Onaca made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paul Berca was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Tineretului FC's zone, Emilian Onaca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Berca came out of the goal and Emilian Onaca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Daniel Calomfirescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tineretului FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Calomfirescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Savu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th match minute, Tineretului FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabin Lăzărescu to maneuver through the defense. Tineretului FC's Paul Berca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toader Udroiu in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Tineretului FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olimpiu Ciuvică to maneuver through the defense. The Alchimistul support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
