The supporters of Boronesti AC booed when Club Sportiv Scolar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Abraham didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Costică Iorgovan put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of David Dănciulescu. In the 8th match minute, Club Sportiv Scolar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Balaban to maneuver through the defense. Costică Iorgovan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Dănciulescu having to make a save. Costică Iorgovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Costică Iorgovan came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Club Sportiv Scolar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costică Iorgovan couldn't finish the play. If Petru Grindeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boronesti AC's David Dănciulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costică Iorgovan in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petru Grindeanu in the 25th minute of play forced Boronesti AC's goalkeeper David Dănciulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Costică Iorgovan in the 37th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 40 played minutes Boronesti AC got a freekick which was hit by Maxim Marinică. David Dănciulescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costică Iorgovan's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Costică Iorgovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. David Dănciulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Dănciulescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costică Iorgovan's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. After some careless play in the Boronesti AC defense, Costică Iorgovan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Dănciulescu. The Boronesti AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Dănciulescu should have stopped the shot. After the first half Club Sportiv Scolar were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maxim Marinică was the one to do the kick off. Maxim Marinică hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Petru Grindeanus short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got David Dănciulescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Costică Iorgovan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Dănciulescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Costică Iorgovan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of David Dănciulescu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Horea Ciompec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Petru Grindeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Sportiv Scolar's supporters rose to their feet, but Petru Grindeanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Dănciulescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute Vali Stejaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doru Vădan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeo Brănescu charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeo Brănescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, Romeo Brănescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg David Dănciulescu managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Club Sportiv Scolar's Costică Iorgovan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the final whistle sounded Club Sportiv Scolar left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Boronesti AC.
